Ordination through Open Sanctuary is not a title to be claimed, but a calling to be affirmed. It is offered to those who have completed The Way course and feel deeply moved to serve others through life’s thresholds - birth, death, love, loss, and the many quiet moments in between. This path is open to people of all backgrounds, whether rooted in a particular tradition or guided by a broader sense of the sacred. What matters most is a spirit of humility, responsibility, and presence.
Rather than preparing you to simply officiate ceremonies, Ministry supports your becoming - a deeper alignment with who you are, what you’re here to offer, and how you hold space for others with care. Whether that's by being a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or simply by offering unconditional care - being a Minister is a path lived from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep.
You’ll be invited to walk alongside mentors, engage in reflective practice, and connect with a community of fellow seekers. This is not a box-ticking process. It is an unfolding - approached with reverence, and with the belief that each person’s path into service is as unique as their soul.
